TREADING THE BOARDS OF HISTORY
"We have been so lucky over the last few years to have played at some of the finest venues and concert halls that Germany has to offer. Last weekend was no exception, in fact I'd go so far as to say we played the most perfect and beautifully formed club location we've ever played at. The Prinzenbar in Hamburg saw us perform to a private birthday party, something we've started doing and we really love. What's not to love, entertaining friends who are there to celebrate another friend, to party with them and show them their love and appreciation. I think I fell in love with this venue, complete with it’s decadent curved ceiling, Phantom of the Opera chandelier and life size cherubs hanging from the walls drenched in exquisite and almost godly lighting, like a scene from Pink Narcissus. Which from its unassuming exterior you wouldn’t think possible. A true hidden gem in Hamburgs crown. This venue was also the location for Rammsteins Engel video so it felt rather nice to be able to tread the same boards and bask in its historic rock history for just one night”

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Sadly Lloyd has decided to part ways with Massive Ego. His decision wasn’t an easy one, but with work and family commitments it had become increasingly difficult for Lloyd to join us on European live dates or commit to future recordings. We’re grateful for Lloyds involvement with the band over the last couple of years, helping write and produce and being part of our journey to where we are now. Our work relationship may have come to an end, but our friendship hasn’t.
We want to wish Lloyd all the best with his future endeavours. Massive Ego will of course continue as a threesome whilst working on forthcoming new music and live shows.

Danny first worked with us on our live show logo projections for the Leitbild Tour so we were delighted when he presented us with the video for Let Go which beautifully visualises the lyrics to the song.

INTERVIEW IN ORKUS MAGAZINE
There's an interview with Marc Massive and album review in the March/April issue of leading German music magazine Orkus. Here's some scans. Here's the album review translation (Thanks to Andra Westwood for the translation)
"With Beautiful Suicide, the British band tries to counteract their own anxiety and depression by musical means.
The whole album was packed in dark-romantic electro-pop anthems by the gentlemen, which beamed you back into the dazzling eighties.
eighties, this is not just the song written by Boy George Let Go ... the lyrics are not free of a healthy sarcasm,
which comes especially into play in tracks like She Uses Sex or I Idolize You. If you're wondering
why the album sounds a bit like Blutengel here or there, you're right: Chris Pohl helped with the
mixing of the material and is even in the gloomy-poppy track For The Blood In Your Veins
highly personal guest singer. But also apparently genre foreign artists such as the rapper Belzebub (Haters Gonna Hate)
give Beautiful Suicide their own unique note, which makes the whole thing a varied and outstanding experience."

This debut long player on Germany's biggest alternative label is undoubtably a dark affair, with Marc Massive commenting that it was his 'Black Celebration' with lyrics reflecting the darker side of life and music continuing in the electro gothic, new wave synth sound of it's predessesor EP Noise In The Machine.
Remixes on CD Two come from Blutengel, Ashbury Heights, CHROM, Ludovico Tecnique, Nature Of Wires, Ash Code and Neroargento.
Sleeve artwork is still being finalised but will appear early 2017, the CD features a 16 page booklet and all photography is by legendary music photographer David Levine.

NEW COLLABORATION - FEAT MARC MASSIVE
Malfunctioning Me is a new track formed from a unique collaboration between multi media artist Christo and Marc Massive ,two kindred spirits.
Christo's art illustrates extreme mental states, unconventional ideas, and elaborate fantasy worlds. For many reasons, Christo prefers to remain outside the "art world" mainstream. Despite this, recent projects have included painting the album art for several high-profile bands including Youth (Killing Joke) and The Orb. Her forays into music have previously resulted in collaborations with Glenn Gregory (Heaven 17) and Countess M (Nature of Wires). Fellow band member Scot Collins adds synths and electronic guitar to the track.
Released through Marc's own label Public Disordar on 1st December and avilable on most digital download sites including Bandcamp , iTunes and Amazon.

STUDIO TIME IN 360
Last Saturday we did our first studio session for a new track from the forthcoming album we are writing. The track is called Out Of Line which we can only describe as being a big grandiose gothic ballad love story. It features the big sexy vocal talents of previous Massive Ego contributor Collagen duetting alongside Marc. The studio session went great and whilst there Scot wanted to try out his latest techy gadget an i360 camera. This piece of kit really is the business and although the technology is in it's infancy we can definitely see this revolutionising the world of video and photography. We believe Bjork is the first artist to use this technology in a pop video which can viewed here and it's something we as a band are looking into possibly for our next video. However till then below is a short clip of Marc giving you a guided tour around the studio last week in London. This 360 effect only works on certain devices. Use your phone to move around the video..It will work in Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard and other VR Headsets. If you are watching it in your browser, just drag the video to look at different angles. This works on most phones. Make sure you open in your YouTube app and not Safari. It works on most phones, just not all of them as of yet! If it doesn't work on yours, blame YouTube! Click here to see a short 20 sec clip of what you should be seeing on your mobile phone.
NEW PRESS + PROMOTION
It's been a busy month ahead of the EP release with several interviews and reviews coming in.
So let's start do a press round-up with the latest, and there's a great feature on us in this months (July) issue of Sonic Seducer magazine , one of Germany's biggest and best alternative/goth/metal/industrial/EBM magazines so naturally we are pleased to be featured, even before the release of our new EP. The magazine is mail order and German stores only but here's a photo of the article for any of our German speaking followers.

Last week Marc did a rather lengthy and in-depth interview with Angela Milton for the The Belfry Network Blog, a popular and well respected blog within the vampire and 'all things dark' community.
It's always cool to be asked less obvious and usual interview questions and Marc enjoyed being able to discuss the band in more depth so click the picture below to go to the Blog and read what he had to say.

Last month the whole band did their first ever interview together for an online magazine called Brutal Resonance a well known site for the Industrial/EBM music scene.
Again a fairly long interview with the whole band sharing their thoughts on the new line-up and working together, where they met, and plans for the future.
Click the picture below to access the full interview.
Brutal Resonance also gave the Noise In The Machine EP it's first ever review and we're really glad to say it's a really favourable and glowing one.

A couple of remixes from the lead title track, up first on remix duties is the brilliant People Theatre who's brought a big stomping electro dance version of the track to the table and we love it. We had the honour of having People Theatre remix one of our previous releases called Dead Silence that came out a few years ago on Belgian label Black Leather Records
Final Low Life remix comes from our mate and synth player for 80's legends Visage Logan Sky who brings an experimental edge to the mix as well as bringing guest vocalist Maggie K DeMonde (Scarlet Fantastic) vocals to the forefront of the track which works brilliantly. Logan has released several synth fused albums as well as being a member of Riviera F who's track International Lover was produced by our favourite Nick Rhodes. OFFICIAL STATEMENT - SSS V MASSIVE EGO - MAY 2011

It is with great disappointment that I announce that the long anticipated duet between myself and Martin Degville (Sigue Sigue Sputnik Electronic vs Massive Ego) on the Eighth Day track will now not be officially released as a CD/download mix package.
This is due to un-workable differences between myself & Mr Degville and a break down in relationships. It's with great regret that all the hard work put in from myself and producer Lloyd Price, the very talented remixers RadioKillaz, EMP, Sappy & Rinaldo Montezz and the video which was filmed by Bambi Fantastic will now not see the light of day.
I don't wish to comment further with regard to this for legal reasons above all else, but would like to thank everyone for their interest as this project has developed over the last few months and for all the words of encouragement to the clips that have made it online already.
Onwards and upwards, and I'm relieved to be getting on with the new Massive Ego single I Idolize You which we are extremely proud of and will be out soon once the video has be filmed. Marc Massive & Massive Ego.
MASSIVE EGO
IDOLIZE YOU

This original track written by Marc Massive & Andy JT marks a return to the original writing core of the band as well as a new direction musically. With a HUGE EBM/Numanesque sounding mix from the hugely talented Lloyd Price (whom Marc also worked with on the Eighth Day track) alongside a full mix by the Massive’s very own Andy JT/Dirty Solar and vocals produced by Barry Stone (one half of The Alias/Jewels & Stone production team and longtime friend and collaborator of the band) this will be released in the near future alongside a video filmed by Bambi Fantastic.
